War in Russia!

Georgia started it.
they wanted a territory to the north to be independantly georgian whilst russia claimed also to have this territory, the georgians wanted to genocide all russians in this territory which caused war. vlademir putin wants to show that russia wont take this kind of thing so reacted in the only way any country would faced with a genocide of its people.
it is also known that georgia originaly was suposedly promised they would be backed by the US and europe, but they later decided they need the fuel and gas from russia so decided not to get involved. the georgians then started their attack their biggest harbour was leveled to the ground and their capitol city was bombed.
im still confused why america has a state named after a middle eastern country SO CLOSE to iraq...

You are confused about a lot of things, so it seems...
Georgia is in the Caucasus. Has nothing to do with the middle east.
Georgia, in the US, has to do with George Washington, that great middle easter....

i would consider it middle east...
it is near Hayastan Azerbaijan iraq etc
but i also never did geografie or know what the caucasus is.
but i do know where georgia is and its surounding countrys.
and i also what i said up there is what i heard on the news so maybe in america they are telling you something different. america hates russia so no doubt some propagandaa there

For example I loved watching the news today (Here in the states) while they where showing proof of Russian troops in Georgia (something really not disputed ..I'll get to that in a second) By showing a burning BMP armored personnel carrier that was clearly Russian (VDV recon by the markings and Appears to be Moscow 45th ORP. A popularly named Spetsnaz unit).....
OK... so now why is this messed up?
1. Georgia in the signed "cease fire" AGREED to having a Russian presence into Georgia proper as a condition. Russia clearly stated their intentions to keep a defended border zone between Georgia and South Ossetia. None of this was an invasion....It was an agreed condition to cease hostility.
2. if there was a cease fire why is a Russian APC burning?????? I'm pretty sure the Recon unit riding that did not toast their ride to roast marshmallows and smores.....
