My green Perch were very intelligent and had territories set up and favorite foods....I highly recommend them for someone with a good sized tank (I think a 125g would be perfect) just make sure you add structure they love to have territories.

Cool nice to know other people enjoy the beauty of freshwater sunfish. I got some warmouth in my 300 gallon pond right now and some green perch and course regular bluegill. I also got this stunning longear or pumpkinseed sunfish its hard to tell but I catch these from time to time and they are usually the most aggressive. The one I got is about 8 inches and it is stunning. I'll post a pic later.

Here just took these pics of the sunfish I'm not too sure about its ID in my 360 gallon.

I had a warmouth years ago and blue-gills in the same tank from a rescue. The warmouth was my favorite, It had red eyes and it would be the last to come to the glass when it saw me.

I love the way it moved, like it was studying me as it approached. It cruised moderately fast and it seemed like it barely moved it fins.

The blue gills would move all over the place jumping over each other. The warmouth would stay in one place at the glass.

The warmouth would strike very fast at food. I loved to see if open it's large mouth. It would take food to the back but always keep an eye on me.

Even when the warmouth was full it would still come back and interact with me.The blue gills would move back when they were full. The warmouth would always stay and look at me the entire time I was in the room.

Even though the warmouth is drab in color, hands down it was my favorite so far. I can't catch any, they are not that common in our areas. I found a guy that is selling me a few. They don't don't have the red eye and I will try them anyway.

Hey ray I got a warmouth today!!!!!

HEY MR. WINKLE!!!! I had been thinking about you. I haven't seen you in awhile. Do you remember those Warmouth fish you directed me to on aquabid?? Well I am finally going to get them!!!! I am getting five @ 4-5 inches. Now that you have the Warmouth, Are you going to keep it?? Is there a possiblity of a Native tank? I don't think you will be disappointed. The 300 gallon still hasn't sold, the guy told me to keep in touch about it.
