Turns out mine wasn’t any type or strain, just a low quality FH or not a true FH.
I bought another Red Dragon from a seller I trust and it should be here in a few days. The information here helped a lot when picking a FH this time. I researched FH care when I bought the last one, but I didn’t realize how important choosing a quality FH was. I found someone to buy this guy and I think I chose well with the new one ? I’ve been keeping fish for 30 years, but mostly African cichlids and reef tanks, so FH are totally new to me.

The new guy arrived this morning. This vid is about an hour after arriving in AZ from Massachusetts. Already looks better than the other one did after arrival. It’s about 1.25”

How do you sell your fish? I too bought a few FH frys from a LFS, pretty confident about my choice but turn out 3 of them are female, only one is male. They all very nice looking fish but i don't need 3 female.

Yup, looks like a smaller version of what you just had. If you're happy then I guess that's all that matters.

Warrior FH is just a fantasy kinda name .. like a metaphor... when choosing a flowerhorn, please keep in mind the body shape, tail and fin shapes and the pearls on the body.

keep in mind this guy just spent almost 4 days in the mail and at 1” it looks much better than the other did at 4”, the colors aren’t showing in the vid tho.

I sell on Craigslist or to lfs, I know a few breeders and vendors in town also. I ended up not selling this guy tho, my kid wanted it.

How do you tell grade at such a tiny size? I got this guy from a trusted seller who said it should end up as B grade. Grade isn’t that serious to me tho, just want some nice color with good attitude
