Before and after religiously....period.
I use the smallest possible drop of Dawn brand soap, water as hot as I can handle without scalding. When you wash, sing the Alphabet song to ensure proper duration. Hit the nail beds.
respectfully,
FireMedic.

Don't forget between the fingers and the back of the hands, most commonly missed areas.

i always do.. and i wash all equipment i use that goes from tank to tank before i use it from tank to tank... rinse everything very well..

Before, no I don't. But I do after.

I just had a major fail and lost somewhere around $300-400 worth of loaches because of failure to wash my hands. Don't forget.

:WHOA::WHOA::WHOA: Sorry to hear man. I don't even have 300 bucks worth of fish, but will start washing before, I couldn't lose my fish, that would be a terrible day. THnx.

i was my hands after im done doing water change or something like cleaning the filter. since my whole arm has to go into the tank reach the bottom.

i wash my hands everytime and i use dawn to wash because i always figure dish soap washes off completely and wont get in the tank any soaps anyone recomends for the fish's sake to keep from getting left over soap residue in to the water?
