Do tell.. I would be very interested in doing a Seattle LFS trip and some fishing out here. I've only got to fish a few streams and the Sound.. not been wildly impressed. If there are some killies or invasives.. let me know

OK OK here it goes again:

There's a fish hatchery on the Northern Columbia River, near Okanogan, the pens are between 2 dams. They breed Triploids, a hybrid Salmon/Steelhead (Sea run rainbow trout) cross. They raise them for lake stocking. They busted out of their holding pens, so there were almost 100,000 2-6 lb Triploids that are now loose in the Columbia but stuck by the dam. So FISH ON!!!! The limit is 2 per person per day, but the fun is to catch and release all day and keep the big ones. They hit about every 10 minutes. We're smoking some today. Taste like Kokanee, pinkish meat, some white, more Salmony than Trouty usually. It's really cold and snowy, so they'll still be plenty in the spring.......Hooyah!!! I can get a ski boat anytime.... We could do a group fishing, skiing, boarding, tubing, better wear a wetsuit even in the summer camping trip!!!!

Yeah, I forgot that, it was implied! Thanks...this is Washington's playground..we'll add: hang gliding, parasailing, river rafting, horseback riding, Leavenworth, Mtn climbing, Bungee jumping, there is no limit!

Yes, summer is best! Whatsa matter.....don't want to cross the passes right now? I've never been like this, I love driving my Toyota in the snow, but it's really scary right now. The snowplow went by my house this morning just grating on the ice, sparks flying in the dark, it was so loud it woke me up! Be safe in your travels.....

OK, Seattle Fish Shops.....uhh there's a big one in Marysville...OK locals, help me out here: Seattle LFS for the man please! (Start in Seattle and follow the corridor South on I-5, scroll back through this thread and there's lots of names and places, along with where the first meeting was and where they visited (specializing in Arowana's, of course.....)

Heh, not worried boutthe passes lol.. I'm an Idaho country boy :D It's just the settling in and getting the new cash flow going. I'd like to find a store to go volunteer my spare time in since I haven't moved everything from my place in Idaho up here and I won't be doing that for several months at best. Gotta love fresh starts...

Not only is the amount of snow in the passes remarkable and record breaking, it is DOUBLE what we normally get. The snow pack at baker is 200"+!!!!!!

im west in tacoma

I'm just north of Poulsbo. Would like to get together this summer in the Seattle area or even eastern wash for some fishing.
