What LFS around here has a nine inch senegal?

Fishy Buisiness.
Hoquiam. Last time I was there they had the sen, and two 10'' silvers that looked super nice, blue tint to the fins and very healthy, had some fronts aswell. They had EBJD's for a while, but dont get them very often. They also had about 10 ropefish aswell that were pretty good size. It might be gone though, I havent been there since before the storm.
Check it out though.

Southern Idaho here.. wouldn't mind a sturg trip in the sprin if people are up for it.. I've guided a few here in Idaho, but would like to try for some keepers in Oregon.

Frank did, and he got all 100 2'' barred midas... FOR FREE!
He was going to give me some, but I didnt have any tankspace for them. :(
But, now that I have tankspace for some purdy fish, I want to hit up some LFS, seeing as my LFS arent that great.
My 55gal is still wide open with just two plecs in it, and I have a 3'x16''x22'' that could use some fish.

There would be no other reason why all those barred midas wouldn't be free. Jed got the parents of all those fry from REC for free and then they spawned in one of Teds tanks who then returned them to Jed at no charge.

This shop gets their Silver Aro's from a farm in Florida. Nice Silver's, beautiful coloring, blues and reds, esp. red. (The Arowana "Gu Kaan" on my Aro petting vid clip on my MFK signature is from this lfs, and Florida Farm) The I've had 2 from there, no d.e., (know someone else who had 2 from there, they were nice too) The guy is a salesman, he doesn't know jack about Aros, just don't act interested, don't call first, he'll double the price on ya if he even gets a hint that you're looking!! BUT, pretty healthy fish come out of there, they use Cichlid Exchange in Portland to get their stock. The guy will meet you on delivery days, he drives to Portland back to Ocosta/Hoquiam on delivery days, will meet you along the way.

You meen Bill? I think thats his name. He is quite a salesman. Everytime I go in there him and his wife both horde over me, as I look at tanks. "You want one of those, I'll bag one, or two up for ya!" He's a really nice guy, but his wifes wacko sometimes she's never been very nice to me and even got into an argument that Pirahnas are more agressive than any other cichlid in the world and that they devour anything. But, Bill is VERY nice and has always been helpfull to me. Plus, he raised my Yellow Collared Macaw from an egg.

Yeah, you know who I'm talking about. I will refrain from making comments directed at any one person, just learn about your animals from other places. Learn about Aro's here, not at Fishy B. They do get beautiful Silvers through Cichlid Exchange, from that Florida Farm, They are nice fish, really nice. Get them small, raise them calm, use lots of Almond/Ketapang Black water, not from the bottle, don't feed it feeders, about 5-6" is a perfect size. Be sure they have a huge tank, and you'll have a gorgeous fish!
i used Hikari Pellets and then once on pelets, baby crickets.-Watch your cricket size until the fish is big enough to digest an external skeleton.
I would LOVE to see some pics of those fish!!!!

If I would have gotten that 150, I'd most likely be putting a Jardini In it, or Possible a Liechardi if I could find one.
Just gotta keep looking for tanks.

To see a pic of those fish, go click on the link here under my signature, it's a you tube vid clip of him "Gu Kaan"

I've watched that video before, But I'll have to watch it again.

I found a 75Ga for 100 dollars, comes with stand. I dont know If going to get it or not though.

I knew 3 fish from that farm, they all were sound, mine never got d.e., the 3rd was someone elses' it did get d.e., they not only have the looks and a unique disposition. I had this "connection" with Gu Kaan that you have with only a handful of animals in your lifetime. He was gentle, spooky as any Aro, but he had reasons everytime. Not what we migh agree with , but they have different reasoning ablilties. He was highly interactive, a prankster, a ham, a lover and AN AROWNANA!!! 100% That's just a nice line of Silver's

Also got one from Hong Kong, the SW Asian born/bred Silver's are now marketing more here, esp. on the West Coast because S American Silvers in the wild are being reduced. That fish was a looker, but turned out great, Ethnics has him in San Diego now. His name is Fu Man Chu.

Hey Fu Man Chu BUMP!! Ethnics, hows our boy????:D
