well maybe if more than four of us went to the first meet(haha i went) it would happen.

Yeah, I felt sorry for you guys. I was gonna go with Frank and his friend, but my mom decided not to let me go after she said I could. I really wanted to go though. You need to keep a hold of the Lima shovelnose you have, I want to buy it, but I dont have the tank set up!

hey Modest_man what's the temperment like on those?? I know nothing about them. Just curious if they'd work with a Jardini and my lima.

Syns are like most Central American cichlids. Decently aggressive. They're mid-range I'd say. Able to hold their own, but really not that aggressive if given their space (6' tank and up) (all bets off when breeding). They get to a decent size (14" or so) and have amazing adult colors.

Harry's syns are the best I've ever seen, actually. His progny are all across the US.

Here's what he PM'd me this evening-

"Let me know if anyone else is interested in pearsi or synspila. Someone with a serious bocourti breeding project could also have my adults; I had absolutely no success with them and probably would only keep one as a specimen. (His bocourti are amazing, 13" easily, very orange.)

Also available: Tropheus moorii kaisers, and I might even be able to scare up a pair of the Bahia Reds if someone wanted to take a shot at them. These are mine in a second generation, but I wouldn't mind seeing someone else with room breed them and then give me back a few for the next generation."

So, let me know and I'll get in contact with him. Just make sure you guys have tanks large enough, as he wants them to go to good homes.

anyone know where to get some Seattle or South...

TRUST picked me up one last week in china town, and said there were more. I believe around 5-7 inches

King's Discus always has them.
Sorry everyone. I'll go through the thread later today. Today was my day off, and I just noticed the thread. I will go through and answer anything I missed. I recently got a phone that has access to the full web, so I'll be able to answer more questions now. :D

Let's see some photos. Looks like it could be a winner with some TLC. I have a 5" female if you're looking for some breeding. ;)
