I think it looks fat bc I usually see male gt longer and slender but this guy is beautiful
My gt growing right now appears to have your body shape and makes me think female but hope it's male like yours
 
Lovely looking gt.I would ease up on the food though,you may end up with health issues if it keeps eating that much.
Intestinal problems are not uncommon with rivulatus.
 
Alright I will take the advice and ease up on feeding.

To be honest many younger GT's I see tend to look thin to me which is why I feed the way I do. He seems to have a ton of energy and shows great growth and color. Poops are always good too and regular.

Looking good how big now ?
Are you going to add any dithers to your tank or just leave it as is
 
He is pushing the 4.5-5" mark I would say. About .5" growth per month max. He is super outgoing and very social so dithers are not needed.

Plus I wouldn't want to bring any diseases into the tank. Stocking is nice and low so nitrates barely hit 10.
 
6 month update, he is being a bit of a brat today. Flaring at me and not staying still at all. Very difficult to snap photos.

Anyhow, here are the two that made the cute this month. I think he is a bit pissy because I was gone for a week and he didn't get fed.
