As we speak im watching one by one all the fish in my 55g grow out die. Why? Well correct me if im wrong, while netting out some feeder platies i managed to net out a small green spotted puffer and didnt realize until everyone was chasing him too in the tank. He was puffing up like crazy...well within seconds one by one everyone seems to be going paralyzed then dead. We are by 10 fish now. Seems like it was either everyone who tried to eat him got poisoned or he released toxins in the water? If im wrong and this doesnt sound right please let me know mfk. Unfortunately im helpless because i cant even do a water change because i literally just ran out of prime doing a wc on my 125. So sad as ever and i just dont know what to do.

Id risk the tap water....if you know all your fish are dying atm anywho....just my opinion tho

You can still do a water change.Just use some of the water from the 125 and top off the 125 with tap water.Ten or fifteen gallons of tap water should not cause any problems.

GSP should be in brackish converted to marine and species only also. Would not be surprised if he is taking some of them out. Also, when stressed they do release a toxin.

Well i ended up losing about10 and one of my favorite blood parrots apparently it was whoever bit him got poisoned because it wasnt a total tank intoxication some fish had black lips so its why im assuming the ones who died are only the ones who tried to eat him. Everyone else is fine. And yes i know gsp are brackish/marine he wasnt meant to go in the tank. Unfortunately almost all the dead were my baby flowerhorns i was raising for a project and my kamfas from petsmart and my firemouth. :(

out of,curiousity why are the gsp recommeded often as species only tank setups? People keep marine puffers in setups with other fish, how are the gsp different?
