the problem IMO with the recent deaths of the Hystrix are the simple fact they are not being purged!!!
I have got 6 hystrix from aquascape and only lost one...the one that dies was shipped overnight. the rest were shipped same day via airlines. Pedro is doing a great job standing behind the dead rays. I had one die the next day and Pedro sent me another for free.
So i think that overnight shipping without purging the fish is what the main issue is.
Turkeyboy, i have also used the same method to acclimate my rays.. I have heard of what tank is saying before, but still acclimate my rays that way for about 30min.
