You wouldn't like my rota then ?. I do a daily water Change although not a huge one only 15/20%I hate water change day I love fish keeping but water change day has always been the most day of every other week for me
I agree. Back when I was stupid I did water changes every two months and it was a painful process. If water change day is the worst day for you, think about why it is that. If it takes too long, do more water changes and gravel vacuum for a smaller amount, like 10% every day vs 70% on 1 day. You can reduce stocking, and reduce feeding. If after doing all 3, you still find water change day the worst day of the week, it's time to find a new hobby.
A hobby should not be tedious, make you feel broke or feel like work.
One reason I love MFK is the community all I do is post that I don’t like WC day and everyone’s tryna give advice on how to make it better thank you guys all seriously this site is amazing but back to WC I love the hobby I understand that WC is just a part of it and I gotta get used to that and I eventually will 1. To the person that said you do daily WC that I couldn’t do just no lol 2. I do 70 percent every other week and the reason I hate it is cause my arowana freaks out so I have to siphon water to a big plastic tote and move the arowana there so he don’t jump out and kill himself
My arowana is weird I don’t know why but since they day I got it it’s always acted strange it’s just it’s personality I guess but he loves nets loves being touched and pet and held in the water never eats live fish or animals even crickets but on WC day I put the net in the water and he happily swims in and doesn’t move while out of water and he’s just fine with it I don’t understand it all I know is that he loves I imagine it being like a roller coaster for him or somethingSo what about the water change does it not like? Seeing a moving siphon tube? not liking a low water line? Moving an arowana during a water change makes it think that water change day is capture day, it's an endless cycle that will continue for years
