My arowana is weird I don’t know why but since they day I got it it’s always acted strange it’s just it’s personality I guess but he loves nets loves being touched and pet and held in the water never eats live fish or animals even crickets but on WC day I put the net in the water and he happily swims in and doesn’t move while out of water and he’s just fine with it I don’t understand it all I know is that he loves I imagine it being like a roller coaster for him or something I just think he don’t like the siphon for some reason

I have a question for you Rtc/tsn Rtc/tsn .
Do you own a Python water/gravel vacuum? They make changing water a breeze. If you don't have one I highly recommend you pick one up. It's worth every penny. It'll make your life easier. This method is much quicker too. The bucket brigade sucks and takes forever.

It can be emptied into the sink.
If your city water is safe then it is fine to fill with that, probably best to add dechlorinator though.
I can’t imagine having to use a bucket for less than 20 gallons, unless the tank is right next to the sink/tub/wherever you dump it.

Oh wow, yeah it is much easier with a python. Cost will depend on the length and sink adapters that you need
Yea I have a big 20g tote in my room full of water and i siphon water out of the tank into a little 3 gallon bucket fill the bucket dump it out outside go back fill the bucket and so on so on it’s annoying then I just fill the bucket with water from my tote and put it in the tank and do that several times then I fill the tote back up and wait a 2 weeks
