water changes and temperature

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This is a good reason to get those inexpensive digital thermometers with high/low alarms.

.............now, if they would just make an inexpensive and simple device that warns you when you're about to flood the tank
Arduino water level control for aquaponics and ring it to a beeper ;)
I use buckets so I'm safe, and I just feel if the water is similar temp, no obvious effects from this method so i think I'm okay

That is warm.....or you're just a beast!
Might be both ;) lol But I don't want this to be an example for other folks cause I said I don't know how underwater system work, don't blame me if you take your risk and follow it hehehe then kill all your live stock :P

Hahah yeah. Used to live in OC. The tap on really hot days would easily be in the mid 70's and even up to 80. On really cold days it could be as low as 40 something. My parent's house is old though. I wonder how it will be in this apartment during the rest of spring and early summer? We moved in around the end of august last year. The AC is old and crappy, can barely cool this room off haha. Hogs power too so to keep the power bill down I only ran it a few times when absolutely needed.

The water coming out of the inside tap at least seems to have warmed by maybe 10 degrees since the really cold part of the year is now over.

Hmm.
