water changes

I was just curios what everybodys water change sequel on their large aro tanks? 50% weekly 25% weekly ,25% by weekly sometimes i switch it up if i have the time i do 10% every other day sometimes 25% every 4 days 40% every 7 days what do you guys do, also water conditioning amounts and types.

i'm like you kinda verys from time to time. i use prime and usually way more than suggested

Depends on how fast nitrates build. On my 180g which has two 25" silvers and 16 cichlids beween 5 and 10", I am doing one 50% a week and one 35% a week. My 150g which is not heavily stocked, the black aro sees a 50% once every 10 days. I will soon have a baby black aro in a 55g tank by itself. Most likely I'll do 20% w/c every other week on that tank, I should be getting the baby black the middle of this week.

Yours sounds like my 180g, with heavy stocking and a low kH my tank to will drop in pH.

i cant do 50% w/c cus my monster aro freaks out

About 45 mins to drain-useing a 2inch diameter hose

over an hour to fill back up---


I pay a cleaning service----I'm too small to even begin to mess with that tank----I would need scuba gear to clean the darn thing...
