never would have thought you pay someone to do w/c :grinno:
is it a company or a friend?lol
cost alot?
just curious
:D

The tank it simply to big for me-
It's 6'x4'x3'
I'm only 5'5"-LOL

I started off with a private company at first (ridiculously exspensive)...But once they told me they wouldn't clean my rena filter's n e more,I told them to get bent and fired them...

Now I pay my LFS to come and clean it-One of their employee's takes on this task on his days off for some extra cash...I get charged $50 an hour for their service...

They clean 13 of my tanks-So I pay a good amount of money to have them do this weekly....But this is at my Cigar shop that I own up here-So in the end it's all a tax write for me,So I might as well just sit back and enjoy my tanks and let them do all the hard work---

I do maintain all my tanks at my other shop that I own and the ones at my house....

I usually do a bi-weekly 25% water change. I have a 55g with 7 2" african cichlids so they arent creating Nitrates very fast. I monitor every couple days so if it starts to increase I'll bump up to weekly changes.

wow, waste of time and money! no offence but hook up a drip system. its very easy. i never have to do water changes.

sorry to derail, my tank cycles through about 25% a day. (big fish, big waste)

Care to fill me in on a drip system then-

I dont understand how one can do away with water changes.....I thought the drip only replaced water-Not exchanged it...

Like I stated it's all a tax write off ne how---

I'm not worried about the cash-If I was-I would not be in this hobby....

kinda simple, it drips out just like it drips in. there are a few dozen threads here on the forums, just search!

Thanks-
I know how to search-

Just figured some of the more experienced members would know which links would be good to read and what ones are a waste of time...

drip system might rid a w/c but you will still have to "gravel vac" and i think thats the hard part for ya ;)
There are ways to get around that as well. You can setup a reverse undergravel filtration system....search again:nilly:
