Water Changes

My Oscar is a Pooping Machine! I just got done doing a gravel vac and I need a more effective way to do water changes. Right now I fill a 5 gallon bucket... hike all the way across the house to drain in our tub... walk back refill the bucket... empty in tub. I only have a 90 gallon and its a hassle to do this so I'm wondering how some of you others change your water especially those of you with multiple monster tanks.

I have my gravel washers connected to garden hoses and drain my tanks to my garden. If you're in an apartment and this method isn't feasable, you can run your hose to the tub or toilet.

they sell a product called the "python water changer" that you hook to the sink which is a must with large tanks but it wastes a lot of water. Otherwise go with oddballs method.

I go the lazy mans route i throw a water pump in to drain the water to the sink in the garage and then refill with my python

are you siphoning out the junk too are just changing the water. I python crap out and then drain my tank another 40% or so with more water efficient methods.

Get a Python...I couldn't believe how I lived without one.

Get another bucket, make less trips across the house. Or get a python and drain the water via siphon into you tub.

I made this like a week ago, it works good for tanks close enough. I even managed to connect another 8' section a couple of days ago and emptied a 55gallon that was a good 15' away lol.

I personally just bought a roll of clear tubingtube the same diameter as my Gravel-Vac, whacked that on, and go straight out the nearest window.

Very good, but am I the only one that boggles at why there's a toilet there? . Might be an American thing.

Sorry Japes...It's international...WTF???I mean I'm not saying I would not use it, but yeah, why? We are still cool camph, just why?
