Was just curious to what everyone does for water changes? I've been doing some reading lately about getting some rays and everything I read says big changes frequently but not sure what they consider big or frequent.

Also I have heard of automatic water changers. Not real sure how they work but does anyone use them? How beneficial are they?

Thanks

50% is perfect water change

I do water changes for my plecos every other day about 20-30% each time. It seems to help them grow faster and diease free. I have my 3/4inch pvc pipes connected to the sink and into the indivdual tanks. I also have filters on the pvc so when it hits the tanks copper and chroline is already removed.

i do a 50% everyother day..

drip systems change 1/4 to 2/3 of the tank depending on how many rays. (per day)

33% water change atleast once a week. If I can, I squeeze one in inbetween.

My tank is somewhat over filtered. 3 emperor 400 and 2 fluval 405 in a 125.
