Water Changes

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wow that seems like alot. Is there anyway to help the ammonia problem besides these large water changes? I would love to get rays but not with that much water changing involved.

Do you just put straight water into the tank? Or have a separate container to heat and dechlorinate water before putting it into the tank?

depends on your water. on my drips, i run the water through carbon filters. on tanks w out drip systems, i just add prime when doing a change.

Might be off topic, but I just finished a wc with Prime, and was wondering if anyone else realized how awful this stuff smells? I thought my daughter's diaper needed to be changed the last time I used it. LOL. Is it supposed to smell like that, and if so does anyone know why?

Oh, and I usually do water changes every 3 days :D.

What amount of stock do you guys have to be doing this much water changing? I have a 210 and was just wanting to get a pair of rays. What water changes would you reccomend for that setup?
