Screams as in is really loud? I like the idea not putting directly in the tank though. I find the python system wasteful and costly over time so got a submersible pump. Plus if water pressure is low the python blows in my experience.
Yes its loud but it works great. I put in ktchen about 30' from the tank thru 50' hose.
You will need a sturdy discharge hose as the pump power will collapse a weak hose.

Thanks. Any chance you could post a video of your pump working? Would like to know how loud it is. May be a deterrent.

I run it about 15 minutes or so to remove about 60 gallons
Ill time it next time also
For me this is a lifesaver . If I siphoned I'd probably give up
