No idea where this should go but..

Can I use water conditioners meant for fish tanks in turtle tanks?

I am currently using the ReptiSafe water conditioner, but can I use something like the DrsFosterSmith water repair neutralize?

I've used "ZooMed's" water conditioner for reptiles a few times for water changes in my fish tanks with no ill effects. But not the other way around.

I'll defer to the experts, but I think Prime and other conditioners should be fine.

thank you.

so turtle stuff is o.k. for fish.
but fish stuff is not good for turtles?
huh?! lol why is that?

BUT, I can use this prime conditioner? why is that?
so i can't use the drsfostersmith one?

also, i'm curious. how do (any) conditioners remove chlorine out of the water? does it make it evaporate instantly or something?

Correct me if I am wrong, which I am sure someone will, but I believe the conditioner forces the Cl and other "contaminents" to bind together and is then removed by mechanical filtration? Or maybe that is for heavier minerals only.

forgot to add.
when you say prime
you're talking about the seachem prime right?
the red bottle?

if it's safe for fish should be ok for the herps
since the reptiles often eat fish who have swam around in that stuff
uh safe for turtles not necessarily safe for fish

All of the above.... I use Prime. All of these have been used on clawed frogs and newts for years, and if they can take it, just about anything can.

Yes, but Seachem makes another lesser known product called Pond Prime. It's twice as concentrated and costs about the same. That's what I use for my fish.
