Hell, what does murky even have to do with water conditioner? Doesn't the Loggerhead Acres guy keep his turtles in natural-style ponds outside, which would be fed by a combination of groundwater and precipitation runoff?

Back to the issue at hand...if I were you, I'd find out if your municipal water supply is treated with chloramine (not chlorine) before I start putting extra chemicals in it.

Yes, but Seachem makes another lesser known product called Pond Prime. It's twice as concentrated and costs about the same. That's what I use for my fish.
