ive been going back and forth with my gf for months on this topic..

maybe this thread will finally put and end to this $30 for a 5lb box of salt bs.. anyone else that uses this stuff for years PLEASE add your .02

i cant speak on the pickling stuff. i just use the blue bag of solar salt because they sell it everwhere and its cheap

lol yeah, nacl = sodium chloride = plain and pure salt. and yes, aquarium salt is just 100% nacl as well

mortens water softener salt is good, ive been using it for almost 2 years.

salt(with no additives) is salt, go ahead and pay $5 a cup or $5 for 50lbs, it doesnt matter to me.
