  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
TAP WATER. THE TANK IS HEAVLY FILTERED. SO IT SHOULDNT BOTHER THE FISH WITH THOSE CHANGES. ILL POST SOME PICS TONIGHT. IVE TRIED IT SEVERAL WAYS. A DRIP SYSTEM WOULD BE NICE, IF I HAD THE TIME TO DO IT. IVE NEVER TRIED TO MAKE ONE.

well clean water and good food have been linked to growing rays :) just throwing that out there....

When I was keeping discus I did 75% wc's every day with aged and pre heated ro water. I had to mix in about 10% tap that was aged also to buffer the ro water so the ph would not crash . It made the discus grow fast along with everthing else that was in thier tanks.

a drip system is easy and worth the time to set it up, to save time later.

that is why your rays are breathing hard, too much water change

100% per day? Sounds a bit too much...
I'll stick to my 25% per week.

i agree. if you feed well, you shouldnt have to do all that much, but idk if your main purpose is to grow them fast for breeding or what, but if your just enjoying the tank, seems unnecessary, or you could just put them on a growth diet.

I got the same growth rate at 50% weekly water changes as well.
