WC after fish death?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Even if the filter after a couple of hrs restored oxygen,it would still be a gamble whether it would make it or not. My other suggestion is to buy OTO drops used for testing chlorine in water, as somtomes higher than normal chlorine goes thru the water system it happens where I live here also. It look like a combination of the two.Lack of oxygen and chlorine poisoning...

Ok so even though I have the spray bar making a current that's still not producing enough oxygen? I really appreciate your help, I just don't want this to happen again..I guess I should get some bubbles going in this tank

What happens is that the water passes thru the canister filter, then the biological filtration uses up more oxygen.A power filter for example comes in contact with air so they are second as far as providing oxygen.A canister filter is good for lightly stocked aquariums, they are good I do use em but I add an air stone with a good pump.
Now the number one way of supplying the most oxygen is airstones, its what we use to restore o2 in ponds and other temporary "lake or pond alterations" temporarily. As the bublrs burst they release carbon dioxide.?.
