I was looking through some old posts & saw some discussions about WC Bahia. Here is one of mine which was sold as WC. The comments I found said to look at the ocelot & also darker coloration which will often show more possibility that it's WC. If that is the case, I believe this one is at it was sold, which is WC...??? Please let me know what you guys think WC or not? I know some of you have seen these come in WC & go through CB 1 or 2 generations so I value everyone's input. I'm just trying to start a discussion I think will be interesting.

Now I am not saying yours is not WC, but we can see a difference in the ocelot from mine. Yours is less & "dragging" forwards & mine has a circular one. This is what I saw people talking about on another thread about Ipatinga Kelberi. I hope we can get some experienced guys give us some feedback. Thanks for the post, this could get interesting!

Sorry to say Guys i really think alot of the recent Imports are from asia NOT wild caught:( I also think the gene Quality with prove itself out in a negative way as they become Adult Guys were all happy to pay a little less for fish it will prove itself out most likely (CHEAP IS NOT GOOD !!!! AND GOOD IS NOT CHEAP ) This almost always proves itself out!!!!! Just this guys opinion!!

Will it wreak the Hobby ?????? time will tell but i don't think so i have faith there are a good percentage of folks that are willing to pay for the real deal!!

THIS!!!!

This is why a lot of the "OG's" are not scooping up all the newly "wild caught" bass.
Quality over quantity.

You can't really go by the circular ocelot thing one of my cb Bahia's had a perfectly circular ocelot at that size and still does but it just gradually shrunk. Tomka can you get a side pic of your Bahia? imo if yours isn't wc its definitely a higher quality Bahia.

I have seen a lot of that said through out posts. That is why I wanted to start this thread. Not to say that "a lot" are asia bred but rather talk to us & tell us what it is that shows that. Hayn was the one in the Ipatinga post that pointed out the ocelot observation. Hayn- Can you explain a little bit what you look for when saying WC or not. I thought you said you look for a complete round ocelot on the tail...?

I will go ahead and answer that Tomka I have kept alot of bass over the years now and not a (SINGLE) 1 that was wild caught had a perfectly round occellete EVER some even have multiple !!!! That is my opinion when it's perfectly round it's no Beuanoooo!!Hell even my oscer!!!!
