Yes my order is here and no they are not available, They were offered to customers before the import and no one wanted any. We imported for our own breeding stock and few customers who confirmed orders prior to import. This was it we imported one order and thats it no more will be imported thru us. After there thru quarantine and eating good I will post pictures. We did not get any of the classic leopoldi only BD,Eclipse and what they now call Special in Brazil.

Right.... Demand is much higher. But to be able to justify the price solely on demand is hard for me to do. I enjoy being different. If everyone else wants them then I won't.

Maybe someday I'll stop bucking the system, knock off the conspiracy theories, and jump on the bandwagon........

One things sure though...... Them Leos are purdy.

Dont worry, they will go down in price. I like to look at the past to predict the future. Fads come and go, especially in Asia where they seem to be very frenzied buyers. Just like the flowerhorn the fad will die dowm and as long as the exports stay open the supply will go up.

The recent Hystrix sold are a prime example of this. They were $500 a piece if you could find them, and $125 on the first import. Of course Hystrix aren't as high on the food chain compaired to Leos.

To be 100% fair, $500 isnt a crime for a ray that is rarely offered as CB.

I do remember seeing TRUE P cf hystrix at my LFS for around $65 before the ban and at the wholealers for around $30 so yeah they have about doubled pre-ban prices.
