Wow, it's not just chinesse that eat turtle..my Gramps was 100% Italian we had turtle all the time..snappin turtle, softshell turtle whatever. It was good, didn't really taste like chicken they have several "flavors" in them actually.

I had this turt for like 16 years and she was such a beautifull animal. It happened all of the sudden, I was with her in the sunday, she looked normal and all, and now I came home to find her floating in the pond. Old age is a likely cause, she was already grown when I got her. My experience tells me it takes at least 12 years for a animal to grow to the size I got her in the first place so she must have lived about 28 years. I fell empty inside without her
