Jello Sr has not been feeding for a few months and has been retaining an increasing amount of fluid. IDK what's wrong.
I can't vouch for it but the problem might have started about 3 years ago when she had eaten and then regurgitated hours later a 10" tilapia from our outdoor ponds. The tilapia had been, however, properly frozen to kill off any parasites before being fed to the catfish. It wasn't the first time or the last we fed our raised tilapia, mayan, jewel, etc. to our fish and we never had any other obvious problems, but Jello Sr seemed to have not been the same ever since. She has been feeding overall 10x less ever since and took long periods of not feeding at all.
This is the first round of 3 of a general antiparasitic treatment of metro+prazi:
Hey Viktor, so enjoyable to see the cast of characters in your big tank, such differences in feeding behavior, as always love the Lophiosilurus genus like L. Apurensis, makes me miss my past ones and the L. Fowleri I once had. I still have 2 species of Pseudopimelodids that like or require to be hand fed. One is my larger Batrochoglanis Villosus that will take 3 large nightcrawlers or strips of Tilapia from my hand very aggressively. My large pair of L. Alexandri have to be fed tilapia strips with tongs and they have become quite lazy over time and they won't eat them unless they are placed right in front of their face. Spoiled rotten like your Jello Cat!
