Dang! I love threads and posts like this one! :)

There are posts that I think of as Ulu Ulu posts; those are the ones where an intelligent and capable guy takes an old electric toothbrush, a leaky garbage can and the gear set from a 20-year-old Schwinn bicycle, and transforms it into a functioning shuttle craft straight out of StarTrek.

And then...there are wednesday13 wednesday13 posts...the mad scientist in his tower, working on some steampunk contraption that is simple, yet so extreme in size and scope that virtually nobody else would think of it...and literally nobody would actually do it. "It's alive! It's alive!!!"

Both of you guys help me out more than you know. Whenever I make the mistake of commenting to my wife what I am planning, and she immediately tells me I'm insane, I don't need that, I have other things more important that I should be doing (pfffft!), and my personal favourite: "What will the neighbours think?" (PPPFFFFFFFFFTTT!!!!!) ...all I need to do is show her the latest post from either of you gents, and it immediately puts my little project into perspective.

She's so accustomed to me showing her your threads, she says she feels as though she knows you both; she's started to refer to you two guys as Itchy and Scratchy, in a not-entirely-affectionate way...:)

ahhh… Nothin too crazy over here or unattainable. Just time in… most everything is 8-13yrs old… the bichirs are the newest at 2-3 now. I still feel inadequate with what i used to have around lol… really hoping to bring in something new this year its been a while 😬🤞

Always enjoy ur comments John… i didnt realize i was even entertaining lol…I get the head shakes and dirty looks from my wife even more so now when my son is involved. He got caught on a step ladder with tools while i was inside the 500 the other day 😂. Poor kid just wanted inside the tank to help 💀💪

Lol, yeah, my youngest granddaughters were here a couple days ago, and I had them out by the inground pond showing them some newly-laid frog eggs. All three of us were leaning out a bit over the edge of the little deck/platform I have running along one side of the pond. I felt this strange burning sensation on my neck; glanced around and sure enough, there was my wife standing at the house, giving me the Hairy Eyeball with such ferocity I feared for my life...:)
