yes there has been alot of talks about hydro's wasying away like this.

There is alot of theory's out there. Mine has allways been parasite related.

Flamenco-t----Has your army's ever been treated for parasites?

bummer. i venture to say the fish hasn't been cast out of the group, rather it's not able to keep up with the group and thus seperated. def sounds like it's got health issues. good call not to move it, usually lessens chances of survival. point of no return has a very small buffer point for payaras in my experience. hope he pulls through, armatus do appear tougher than the others

He died 2 days later. I never moved him, I just separated him with a divider. I didn't want to add any more stress.
I think it was at the point of no return and there was no way I can save it.

The next day, the largest one started to pick on the 2 smaller ones...so I separate the 2 smaller ones from the largest one.

I am going to re-arrange the tank and try the shoal again in a week or so. I have 10 fei fengs to add to the mix LOL.

Maybe try putting a different driftwood structure in for each one. If there aren't enough hiding places mine start getting angry. They all have thier own lil places to hangout.

I had them in a 90 and had to get them into a bigger tank a few weeks ago as they started scrapping a bit. Now that they're broke and pounding smelt they're back in to a growth spurt. I think the 4x3x1.5 I just moved them into is gonna be too small easily by the end of the year.

Sorry for the loss man..... Hopefully with some dithers you can re unite the shoal....
