I don't think 300G tank is needed for 5 rbps which max out at 12-13" and somewhat less then that in the aquarium. Single specimen will do fine in a 55g, so your 90g is enough for only one rbp. They do better in a shoal yes, but in the wild they're found in shoals of up to 20, so even in a group of 6 or 8 you won't be replicating their natural social behaviour. It is not unlikely that in a group your large rbp will in time kill the rest of his buddies and remain solitary. Point being whether in a group of 5 to 8 or as a single wet pet makes no difference. As for the rest of your fish that 90g will be small even if your remove the rbp once they're adult size.

I kept 5 RBP and 3 (or 4, it's been awhile) pleco in a 125 and they were happy as clams. Do your research and you'll find that raising happy RBP has more to do with lighting, temperature, and feeding than it does tank size. RBP don't need hiding spaces, they're not as territorial and aggressive to each other like the "same species" problems we have with other monster fish. Just my 2 cents, your 90 could house 3 of them just fine if you do your homework first. I would do a shoal of 10 minimum in a 300, and I've seen 10 in a 200.
