my female fh loses her colour if u dont talk to her and stroke the glass. we go away for a wknd and get back and shes white, no colour in her eyes nothing. then u stroke her through the glass and she does a little swim around in circles and all her colour comes back in minutes....she also does this staring thing at u...just stares, doesnt matter where u r in the room, she ill be there, staring! gets a bit creepy at times lol
then my male fh tries to attack my lil girl. hes nearly knocked himself out and so now she has to stay away from his tank...he seriously goes mental!!! ramming the glass, shaking his body...nasty piece of work!!!
try actually petting it :grinno:
might become a true pet...you know, like a dog

I'm not sure if this can count as cool but my Tiger Oscar will attack and play with the magnet float. I'll move it around the tank and he will chase it and bite it. Also he will jump on a small dock just under the surface grab some food I placed there and he'll swim back in the water.

I use to own a Red Belly Pacu that went bananas over algae wafers. He was so crazy about them that if you held an algae wafer above the surface of the water he would jump out of the water just capture the amazing crisp so called algae wafers. :)

haha, mags is funny :)

My albino tiger oscar pops the tops on his tank when he's hungry, letting me know it wants to eat. The other one only flares at my husbands pointer finger. And the albino I swear has a love affair with the bubble wand in the tank, constantly looking and mouthing at it......

I have about 5-6 calvus juvi's out of 30 or so that worship any heater i put in the tank....they will sit at diagonal angles staring at the heater...

o temp stays constant 82

I :ROFL:then :WHOA: heater broke, replace,:).....rinse and repeat.

WIERDOS is all i can think of....

oh i have one too. its one of my oscars. when he swim and reaches this particular side of the tank he suddenly flip and swim back "up side down" for 3-4 second and flip to normal again. each time he reaches that side he does that act again and again.

i can say his not sick of something coz hes pefectly doing great on feeding or just doing nothing. only and only when he reaches that side he becames wierd.
