weird stocking working for last three days !!!!!(photos on page 3)

i still am not sure its the jar that id owning the small fish
the red tail/albino/rainbow sharks(minnows) you keep with your jar are mostly hiding and swimming at the bottom and prefer caves and tubes.
i have kept my jar previously with bottom dwellers (catfish and plecos)
but the tin foil barbs is a different story, if you are having success with
them it some thing cool
can you tell me for how long the barbs and the jar have been in the same tank
and what size was the jar when the barbs were added and how big were they]

Well the first time the jar was about 5 inches and the barbs about 2 inches and it worked. I had to give up the barbs as they were eating all the plants.

This time I have done away with all the plants and plan to keep the barbs for a long time. This time my jar is close to 18inches and the tinfoils are 2 inches but still the jar is not interested in them. This combo has worked for the last 2 months.

this stocking is still working great
the green terrors tattered fins are recovering
the little fish seem to have found places for themselves
the hrps have4 established a small territory as they have paired
and i added one of red texas in the tank and thongs have really mellowed down
the green terror once in a while flares at the jar
and the jar also does a bit of chasing with the GT



my jar seems to have a huge belly, from past 3 days, none of the fish are missing, and seems to be growing a little plump by the day, have reduced the feeding, but i am sure i haven't fed that much that my jar would look so huge even if he ate all the food i put in
can someone enlighten me

yeah they do kill other fish, even mine did kill a few fish when it was like 9" or so

if i had the tank space they required i too would have one

all the fish doing great, did have a few difficulties a few days ago

That is one action packed tank and thats a beautiful Jar, makes me wanna empty my front tank n keep just one of those
