and thats what happens when you add a bunch of preds to one tank, the small ones start coming up "missing"
yeah that might happen, was prepared to lose a few
may be i gotta revise the stocking or get more decor for them to run into when someone is trying to get them :shakehead:shakehead:shakehead

i think u should keep the jar full as much as possible, maybe then it won't eat anymore fishes. my jar killed 2 of the angels this week, i said kill because the angel wont even fit in his mouth he just holds it there. it was fine until this week- im assuming cause i didnt feed him for a day or two cause i was a bit busy but now im feeding him and there's no aggression.. HOPEFULLY HAHA

i don't agree, my jar is in with others and is actually the one who is picked on. jar's are aggressive without a doubt but there are exceptions.
yeah even i have seen this
when i added a large oscar in my jars tank
he picked on the O in the beginning
but the next day morning it was the jar that was being chased around :nilly::nilly::nilly: :eek::eek:
and the O was moved to the next tank

Looks good man, like the fish...
thanks bro

Still watching ^^ hehehe at the end there shall be only one king of the tank and that will be king jar lol

Do post pics please. The jar is very nicely colored ... and shall continue to improve on his well looked after 'feeder' tank mates ^^

the last meeki is also lost
although all other fish do look to be in good condition
will get more meekis this time bigger than an 1" so that they aren't eaten up :swear:

Keep him well fed. THat should bring down the aggression............hopefully :D

Just to add...............

In past I have added more number of fish and cope up with this behavior and sometimes it does work. I have kept tin foils, red tail/albino/rainbow sharks (Epalzeorhynchus bicolor) and now I have a pair/3 nos of each variety which the jar is no more interested in.......well atleast so far.

yeah, doesn't sound like aggression to me, just feeding :D

mine is still doing great in the 210. it's one aggressive SOB (just after food) when I drop shrimp or tilapia in there :D

i still am not sure its the jar that id owning the small fish
it can always be the BIG green terror that is munching away on the goodies

the red tail/albino/rainbow sharks(minnows) you keep with your jar are mostly hiding and swimming at the bottom and prefer caves and tubes.
i have kept my jar previously with bottom dwellers (catfish and plecos)
but the tin foil barbs is a different story, if you are having success with
them it some thing cool
can you tell me for how long the barbs and the jar have been in the same tank
and what size was the jar when the barbs were added and how big were they

yup it is not aggression
but i am not yet sure its the jar having snacks every once in a while, it could always be the green terror as i haven't seen my jar eat any live food except for the ghost shrimp for more than 6 months
but my green terror on the other hand did get live fish every time i wanted to do away with any juvie fish i didn't like and needed space(yeah i have too many fish breeding in my tanks):D

a few new pics
it seems there was a showdown between the jar and the green terror
and ........................................................................................

it seems like it was a draw (is this possible) as i see both of them swimming around ignoring each other

the green terror has tattered fins
and it seems the jar jumped and hit his head and is sporting big nasty wound
and there seems to be water pocket too just close by the wound will be posting pics and also starting a thread as to what the water pocket is
any ways here are a few pics that i snagged today
