weird stocking working for last three days !!!!!(photos on page 3)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I had a 7" Jar in with 4-5 large angels...all were 3.5-4" top to bottom...too big too eat...

It was a great combo for qite a while...i had my mate thinking "what the hell!?!? that isn't spossed to wk!!" and i was like...HaH! its kool aye!

It really did look kool...until the Jar grew a little bigger...and meaner...

Bye bye Angels...couldnt believe it when i saw an angel folded in half in the Jars mouth...

Dont be fooled...Anything that can fit in its mouth...eventually will die...

Its the food chain...Big fish eat small fish...

My jar messed up the pikes a bit during the day yesterday (a few missing scales and some torn fins...nothing real serious). I moved it to the 210 which seems to have given it a little attitude adjustment being in with larger fish, but I'm sure it won't last forever. Poor thing had a rough journey losing scales going in the net and jumping out of the bucket when I was trying to get it into the 210.

i have seen a few turn brutally mean
jars don't kill usually for food, if its for food then there is still hope, but the jar kills for pleasure is what i want to believe and not for food
so i think your jar has hope yet

moving is my most scary part of fish keeping
i use the net only to lure the fish in a plastic bag or a cotton towel(only for real big fish with real mean pectoral fins like huge cats) aros will go in a plastic bag or a small container never in the net as it gives room for injuries

Your loach is Botia dario. I'd simply save him and get a separate tank. Poor guy needs a high protein diet.
will do that tomorrow
how do you think they will do in a planted tank with kuhlis????

okay yesterday night i counted 15 tiger barbs and today morning there are none
and i see a fat and happy jag
looks like he had a nice little hunt at night
may be the salvini and the green terror also got some sushi :D
but after seeing a group of schooling fish i would certainly want some schooling fish for my tanks
what might happen if i added some silver dollars ??? I am thinking 6 of them should look nice.................
any comments would be welcome

okay
as predicted

all the tiger barbs are gone
picked up 8 silver dollars for 12$
and love the schooling fellows and they even started eating :D

That's a new dilemma.:uhoh: Your kuhlis won't like the darios moving around too much and even harassing them.:nilly:

ok then they need to go then
i like my kuhlis too much to be harassed
as of now i don't see much trouble though
as in my kuhlis tank i have gravel and they like burrowing under a lot and they also have rocks to hide under
will observe and then decide if any trouble is caused to the kuhlis
thank you lupin

I think any fast moving fish like silver dollars, tinfoils or filamentus should get along with jardini.

Well thats what I am hoping and have added some tinfoils to the jardini tank.
