With the exception of plecos, all other fish is just food in the fridge for your 14" jar ^^

Let us know when the jar commences his picnic on the other tank mates lol
or i will update how great my tank is working LOL

Oh oh-K yeah someone really needs to find out how we as aquarist can stop them from going out of control!

hehehe i like tanks with weird combinations. that is, small stuff living along side big toothy neighbors. But hey i saw koi with aros before so ...

Might i suggest you update now so that we can have a base line for comparison anyway ... just in case your fishies start 'mysteriously" dissapearing.

Truely i am very interested how your project goes. It will be another proof that jars are not murders and all. (that's what i keep telling myself cos i got a jar too ... though he is the smallest in da tank)

Three days?! Thats NOTHING! If it was three months Id be slightly impressed. Three years, well then you could say it worked!
I agree. I'd actually be surprised if the jardini didn't snap one day.:WHOA:

good luck with that. It would be awesome if it lasts. My 10" jar hasn't killed anything but congo tetras...YET

yup will be updating this thread everyday
all the fish in my tank as of now are swimming around
none of them have had even a little of those nasty ripped fins or even a split, other than the once in a while flaring between the hrps and the cons and salvini nothing much happening

i know that its nothing, but just three days
but i have seen my jar go nuts before and kill a clarius batrachus of the same size in just eight hours
but now all he did on the first day was check out who the 6"+ green colored fish with the red outlined tail was

may be he might
but till then i am really enjoying this tank
especially the way the little guys are exploring the tank and are trying to claim territories

yeah it would be awesome
but my jar has now come to the stage where the jars mellow down a little bit (14"+) guestimate as he is nearly an year old in my responsibility
and when i got him he was like 4"+ or something

Come on. Picture of the tank with all residents intact then we can see from there :naughty:
