I'm a school teacher and keep a 180 gallon tank in my class room. I had a two foot RTC in the tank all by himself and he was constantly tormented by fingers in the tank and always came running to try and grab one. He was really cool and would usually grab on give a shake or two realize you werent food and let go. Well one day my principal came down to ask me something and went over and stuck his fingers in the tank like he always did but this time the RTC grabbed hold and didnt let go. It was like a great white attack !!!! Water everywhere and the fish ended up on the floor :WHOA: It happened so fast and the look on my principals face was priceless. After we scooped him up and threw him back in my principals only coments were........That fish is F @&$ ED UP !!!!

I also had a female student pass out after being "attacked", but thats another story :D

About 6 years ago, my would-be wife and I had a Pacu who, needless to say, was quickly outgrowing his 120 Long. So, in the middle of the night we would hear this tapping sound from across the room near the tank. One night, it woke both of us and we got up and switched on a light only to find the Pacu had turned himself over on his side and was trying to eat the heater. We were pretty sure that he needed to find a new home, but this solidified it. He was about 17" at the time and we donated him to the Pittsburgh Zoo/PPG Aquarium, where he now resides in one of the most unbelievable Amazon exhibits I have ever seen or heard of...

...They have about a dozen XL Pacus, a couple of 5+ ft. Red tail cats, a few arrowanas, bunches of plecos, hordes of cichlids and amongst others. The exhibit is about 8 feet at its deepest, up to 30 feet across front to back and side to side, while surrounded by trees and vines and leaves giving a more authentic feel. It has a big waterfall in the back and it’s completely open on top. I know this kind of turned into an ad for the Pittsburgh Zoo Aquarium, but I thought everyone might like to see this exhibit.

I work at a fish shop...and when catching various mbuna they sometimes freak out and have a heart attack of sorts. They start shaking then just sink. Well about a year ago an OB zebra i was grabbing for myself did this...i pulled it out and put it aside in a plastic container for a bit. Came back to life about 10 minutes later, and is doing well a year later.

LOL! Never heard of an octopus on the prowl at night out of the water.

You haven't? It's actually not very rare at all.

Here is mine: A long time ago, one of my feeder guppies got sucked into the filter. so, I got it back out, and while I was putting the top back on the filter, my goldfish ate the guppy...wow, I guess goldfish are carnivorous :nilly:
