Weirdest thing you've ever feed your fish?

Ive fed my Oscar and Jag some venison (deer meat) before. They LOVE it.
Also the occasional earth worm as a treat.

Was the meat cooked?...I have always heard that clean, safe earthworms are very nutritious for fish, most of my fish love them.

I didn't think the meat would have hurt them, just wondering if it was raw or not...You can also keep the worms overnight in a container with damp paper towel and they will spit out the dirt that they have.

I just wanted to clarify that my fish survived haha, they really seem to like it, but i dont want to feed it to them all the time because im not sure if its something they should eat constantly

Thanks for the tip with the worms! I have to try that, i usually just catch thousands of them and keep them in a big tub with dirt and grab some when i need them to feed my fish or go catch some fish!

I feed worms all the time. A quick rinse to get excess dirt off and some from end of digestive tract is good. Purging not necessary the small amount of soil that still remains contains high levels of minerals that the fish benefit from.

Weird things I forgot to mention, when younger deli meat, cat food, frogs, tadpoles, wild insects, baby bird, mice. Since adulthood mosquito larvae, live daphnia, crawfish, jumbo prawns, seafood paella mix, mussels, live crawfish, african cichlids, live tilapia, and probably more I cant think of.
