(green bay fans cringing)

Not really...I love Brett. Always have always will. Guy made me play the game the way i did (do?) today. I hate that purple jersey, but in the end, what happened in Green Bay was the best for all parties. The only real loss is Brett Favre's legacy...which will always be slightly tarnished because of this.

YAY!!!
With his returning it gives the Lions a chance to win atleast 2 games this year, YAY!!!

Uh...what? How does that help the lions chances? I wish I was Matt Millen. With all those draft picks Id have you guys winning superbowls left and right. I love how Charles Rogers and Kevin Williams are no longer in the NFL. :D Sorry dude, you have to KINDA laugh.

That all being said, why if you were Brett wouldnt you come back? The money is great, the team is there (for now, but thats a different subject) and you run the whole program. The coach wont even stand up to you. Its the Brett Favre show, and no one can complain about it. Too bad AP cant rush for over 100 yards without fumbling...even with a passing game like Favres. :grinno:

Why does it matter so much? So, the guy has a lot of trouble decided whether he wants to retire or not. So what? He isn't looking for attention. The media jumps all over it. You hear about it every day because of the media, not because he is planning on some scheme to get lots of attention. And, with his awsome performance last year, I'd hardly say the last couple of years were a joke.

Not saying his performance wasn't great, just the retiring/unretiring junk. And I personally just think that retiring and then coming back numerous times makes him look bad. Yes, the media does give him the attention, but as a figure in the public eye, I feel that he should acknowledge that and act accordingly. Maybe I'd be fine if he had just retired once and then came back. But supposedly "retiring" thrice and coming back each time? I'd expect him to have made up his mind by now.

With Favre coming back... Minn is favorite to win the NFC North... if he does not coming back... who's the QB again?

Tavaris Jackson would be the starter with no bret. "chili" or brad childress as some of you know him better do a better job of running the team this year. That game where bret got hurt and refused to come out of the game (they were still ahead) and THEN told the media about it was complete b.s. Tavaris Jackson is serviceable and way more mobile and would've been able to avoid the hits at that point of the game. Chili should've stuck with his guts and pulled favre.

Brad Childress may be the worst headcoach in the NFL. I cant say who they would start, but I would bet against Travaris. The worst starting Qb in the NFL and the worst head coach would not be a good combo. "Chili" doesnt have the guts to stand up to Favre, and thats part of the reason hes back.

Like I said before, really no reason for him NOT to come back. And hey...if you could skip two a days and preseason games bc of who you are...why wouldnt you. Favre is playing the queens cause both parties know they need each other.

I would have figured the old man would want to avoid another beating like he took last year against the Saints. May be better off to come back in week two.

So, for those who don't understand how this works:

Brett Favre hates 2 a days. He hates training camps. He doesn't need them. Most veteran players do. He feigns retirement or injury until the pre season is underway, and then decides to play. He knew he was going to play a while ago. This has been his standard for many years (missing camp for 1 reason or another).

I bet he'll be protected this year like Brady was last year (after his injury). Those Saint hits in the title game were illegal (late) so they'll be looking for them.

Everyone must have me on their ignore list because this is exactly what I am trying to say.

Maybe...some probably were. Coulda been worse. Flags will get thrown because its Brett...or maybe now, flags wont get thrown...depending on how badly the refs want him to retire.
