Welded metal stand...Adjustable feet?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You could cap the leg with half inch plate weld a nut on the inside then weld the bolt to a nice round bit off plate just use a good inch bolt

im a recreational welder and planned to weld a stand for my 240g but built a wooden one instead, thats another story. I personally like metal stands, they look cleaner and more sleek then wooden stands imo. If you are an experienced welder I see no problems in welding a good square, level stand. make good clean cuts, use a square to tack straight 90 degree angles. when all done put into position use a level and shims to level it. you could even use fabric and magnets to create a drape to cover the filter, sump, whatever. post pics bro

The slow progress so far....Lighting sucks it was getting late, darn daylight savings! I plan to add gussets in the corners and attach the diamond plate to the gussets with magnets so that all the plumbing is hidden and the ol' wife can remove easily for pump maintenance. Super cool, super secret handles in the works.

Looking good so far!

Almost there! Pics suck because I always work until the sun goes down...5:00 thanks to daylight savings. Flat first, Level second came in handy as I am used to building large stuff for large things - not fish tanks. Hopefully done by next week.
