So thanks for the link TbTb this is exactly why everyone should watch out. If you are truly going to keep one of these magnificent fish make sure that when you talk about it you are using common sense and include some details about how you would keep it from escaping, like into a stream that feeds your pond, floods, or catch and release elsewhere by others that might visit your property. This is a huge responsibility on our part. Let's not take it lightly. We can show the guys that make suggestions like this link that we are better than that and that we will be responsible. If you plan on doing anything besides being responsible with these fish then please do not air it on MFK or I will personally ban you. :) Have a nice night everyone. Going to try and upload the rest of the vids I took today!!!

The cam I bought is a pentax WG-II water proof rugged cam. The vids and pics are amazing from it. The issue is just overcoming the flash on the glass as you stated. I don't know if that is compatible with this cam. I have a suction cup mount that I bought for doing in tank vids, but I think I need to get a full sized tripod also to help with stability when shooting without the flash and using an external light source. lol, for now I will have to hold up the hood light at an angle and click away :) I saw there is a remote control for underwater uses with this cam as well. It has some really nice features for a compact waterproof cam. I'm blown away by it.

Ah. I was under the impression you had gotten a DSLR. You can get a cheater bounce flash by taking some aluminum foil and wrapping it around some cardboard. Its ok if your aluminum foil is wrinkled and not smooth. This will have the effect of a diffuser. You hold the bouncer in front of the flash to direct it at the ceiling or the top of the tank. You could also rig up some way to mount it up to the camera. If you're right up on the tank, the light bounced up will bounce back down off of the ceiling and the surface of the water to give better illumination from the tank. Just an idea to try. :)

more videos! Maybe even a feeding video!

Trust me, if I was back in the mainland, I'd be doing daily videos for you all :)

lol, I got some vids uploading. As for a feeding vid he's not quite eating during the day yet. He nibbled a shrimp earlier during the day, but no takes until after lights out.

Necro, stick your hand in there and wave a silverside, shrimp, fish filet, etc in front and he will eat. I did it for my wels and he became trained :)

He did take some shrimp during day light hours. I am not gonna push it with this fish yet. I am trying not to stress him. Slowly trying to adjust him eating during the day as well as at night lol. SO today was a big step. I need to invest in some lamps so that I can do better vids. He doesn't like to move from under the driftwood much lol. he is really curious though. I can tell a very intelligent catfish as far as they go lol.

Tried retouching a few. Will take better pics when i am at home tomorrow.
