i think its a sand darter,i couldnt see the top fins

i was netting and just seen clams underwater ontop of the sand so i just scraped the top of the sand and got them
i have pics in another thread

i think im going to "the spot" this weekend

If it can off a mud bottom it is likely to be Etheostoma fusiforme, the swamp darter.

googled that,it is a swamp one.

They are cool fish. I caught some last summer, but none this summer when I want one for my tank.

well went to the bowfin spot but it was so hot there wasnt much going on.
caught a walking cat,few bluegills,and this monster sucker!
they were everywhere this size.but i didnt get even one small sucker or a bow.
maybe next time
this guy is in my 10 gallon now
