smokes and internet, the TRUE definition of government assistance....

Thank you.

I am not saying it is your fault you are on SSI. It is however you fault that you choose not to even find a part time job, You choose to smoke cigarettes and cigars ( and no I am not picking on you cause you smoke. I myself am a smoker but I also have a job) instead of keeping the money to get your semi decent meals.

You have the internet which I am sure cost a few dollars a month, which instead can be used for food.

You go to the doctors and "demand" to be seen. Really? Cause what makes you so special that you can demand to be seen while other who actually pay for their insurance have to wait?

I dont fault you at all for being on SSI, what I do fault you for is doing nothing to better yourself.

vitAmins - If you eat correctly then you wont have to really worry about vitAmins. Fresh Veggies ( this time of the year they are cheap), fruits, whole grains, etc. Not things packed with empty carbs, sky high sodium, empty calories.

Agreed. Good food IS vitamins. If you eat plenty of vegetables, fruits and clean foods, you won't need vitamins at all. Vitamins are sort of a halfway point. Better than nothing, but not as good as eating actual food.

welll i dont have internet at my house ( use it at the lib )

and i am looking for a job ( need one desperatly! ) but jobs are hard to find in a small town tho.

Go to the library and get "The Omnivore's Dilemma" and "In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto" by Michael Pollan.

You'll learn about how to eat.

Eat food. Not too much. Mostly vegetables.

Matt

I am going to have to check these books out! I am trying to lose some weight, but I struggle with the types and quantities of food that I eat. Need to learn how to eat healthy and less. Thanks for the referals....even tho they weren't exactly directed at me...

Now to the OP. I challenge you to sit down and figure out how much money you are wasting on cigarettes.....every week, month, year....I think it will be mind boggling. If you want to improve your over all health, the first step is to give up smoking and quit killing yourself slowly.

Ok so for the mean time, quit smoking. That will save you a decent amount of money that you can in turn use for food.

Got to any of the local fast food places, resturants, grocery stores, etc. A part time job is normally pretty easy to find for some one who truely wants a job.

Are your fish eating? if you do not have money to feed your self properly is now the right time to be buying fish stuff?

I watched that kitten video. Girl with kitten is good looking. The end.
True story ! Very cute.

As for LBF

I point this at your diet regime. Honestly I liked the supplement idea from Trader Joe's also pick up some fruit and Vegetables and eat some cheap protein (I love canned tuna its great protein and an excellent boost)

I think a job would help you get the necessary exercise to help your immune system and sleep schedule get more set in stone.

Best of luck buddy.

What happened to the job you had lined up?

On the ramen, there are so many nitrates in the powdered mix that migraine patients avoid them like the plague. If you're subsisting on ramen, that could be the cause of your headaches.

Good spot on the nitrates. I always blamed MSG and sodium on the yucky feeling.

Bad food isn't called bad food because it isn't good for you, it's called bad because it is actually bad. It makes people sick. It took me until my late teens to figure it out.

Hey LBF I forgot to ask what your fluid intake is... Water is very important as well...
