EAST:D

This my male kelberi and my female peruvy monoc. Could be some hybrids soon. Even with the pic taking from my cell phone you pretty much close can this thread down. EAST Coast taking the gold with the Golden Child!!

Please, please do not release these into the hobby if they do breed. If any of the babies are released onto the market someone will soon be selling them as kelberi if they show signs of spotting in the fins. This will only muddy an already confusing hobby as well as falsely drive down the value of true kelberi.

I already sold both and they have been spilt up. I believe the market is already down. 5.5 inchers for $150. That killed it right there. With 40 +/-new ones from the same area.Everyone has the same thing. Not like back in the day when guys had 3-4 different locations. Yours scat are one of a kind right now. Joey has some mint beris along with red1.There are more kelberi than azuls right now. Just my opinion-Not looking to stir the pot.:)

I think in the next few months we will see what the future holds for Kelberi's. I hear talks of the most recent Kelberi's being F1's? any truth to that, who knows. I would assume that there would be more availability than what has been recently offered.

As for the 40 Rapps sold. Well, I would assume that the 40 would have been sold to many of the members on here. Yet there is only a handful of people that posted pictures of theres and it does not total to the amount. Unless people are hesitant on sharing pictures or does not want to reveal how many they purchased.

As for Kelberi's crossing w/Monos I think that has already happened. On many occasions you see pictures of Monos that shows the characteristics of Kelberi's, however as they get older loose the distinction. A few members had posted pictures in the past of monos that they had assumed were Kelberis because of the amount of spangles on the finnage that was un-common for usual baby Monos seen.

Below is a picture of Islanders Pbass. I'm really curious to see how this guy will develop as it gets bigger. Tell me what you guys think. (Islander, hope you don't mind me using your pic)

What if someone had already crossed the two?

I mean just a couple of years ago Kelberis were being referenced as Super Monos?

rapps are wild caught, i think that if they were f1s they wouldnt have such color at small sizes, along with being stubborn and only wanting live food, except for milioka. i was told that below waters fish are f1s and i heard it from one person, i wont mention names so unless you called and asked him yourself its a b.s. rumor that has started.

joey, just for your info, spangles are common on a mono's top fin and i have seen plenty of fish with a few holographic dots on their tail where the rest of their back bar used to be. pelvic fins and anal fins with speckles are the only way you could truely i.d. a kelberi as a kelberi.

Yes they are, but not as bold. I've seen many Monos have the spangles but not to a point where it's as bold as a true Kelberi. All, i'm saying is it wouldn't surprise me if they cross in the wild. Even with the Kelberi specie there are variants. Soon as we see the spangles we quickly relate to a Kelberi? what if it's a totally different specie.
