rubbbermaid totes and egg crate make great w/d filters...forget the bio balls and use Pot scrubbers...cheaper and they have more surface area...

Regardless of which wet/dry filter you run...
you'll need to have an overflow of one kind or another in the tank...

The Media in question is called Bio-bale, looks to be a CPR system...

why not just get an Eheim 2217 the best filter around
