Regardless of which wet/dry filter you run...
you'll need to have an overflow of one kind or another in the tank...

The Media in question is called Bio-bale, looks to be a CPR system...

whats CPR? so is this a good deal?

how bout this for 100? it looks different. is the first one also better than this one?whats that stuff inside? looks like shredded paper.

im also looking at this one but im not sure if its any good...and if the price is good. it comes with a pump. i have a 55g

If I was you, I would get my "horse back infront of my cart"
First I would find out all I could about sumps..pros..cons..any and all x-tra stuff needed..mods I would need to make to my tank or stand.
Sumps(IMHO)are xcelnt filter systems when set up properly, but have the potental for disaster when done wrong.

im convinced that wet/dry filtration is a good way to go. i have a 55g tank that's ready for a wet/dry filter so there's no need for any mods. right now im looking for one and posting the ones im finding on here to get an opinion on how good/bad of a deal they are...and the difference among all of them.

that looks good just put a polishing pad on top of the bio balls and success
