SO many people get midas, I would go with a less common fish, just for the sake of having a more unique experience. No way a true parrot fits in either of those. But a chocolate or a Urau or a cool Vieja. Something that can be found at a good lfs, but not at a petsmart.

I chose other for haitiensis. Midas is a close second but seeing as how you only want one fish, I'd strongly suggest trying a hait.

My vote should be taken with a grain of salt, I personally haven't owned any of the sp. on that list. But from reading the board Citrinellus' are very well liked and seem to have a good amount of agression while maintaining a personality that isnt hell bent on killing everything that moves.
Red Head's are a close second, they can get really great looking colors.

Vieja Argentea the white Cichlid has to be one of the best looking cichlids. With patience that fish will grow into a enviable monster that most would drool over, I know I would.
I have one too and I love the guy. I just think that a Red Devil, Midas, or Trimac will best meet the criteria that he is looking for in a wet pet.drgnfrc13;4527408;4527408 said:
