Wetspot trimac or Flowerhorn? needs your guys help

ok, there is another member on this forum that got a trimac from wetspot, but his is smaller, so this might help him also. Now mine is a little bigger i am starting to think its a low grade flowerhorn, it does have a lot of blue spot/pearls. what do you guys think?

That, my friend, is a FH. Trimacs don't have pearls....look at it's gill plate.

Wet Spot may be a reputable store but if they're buying the stock and not breeding Trimac themselves from a known pure pair of Trimac, it's just too easy to get FH now days. Tragic.

Thats exactly what i was thinking. I had a female at one point that showed no pearls like this guy. Kinda pissed and i might email them. I was hoping since they were a reutable dealer, they would have real trimacs, but i guess not. Now i have to decide who i want to order from, ira, cichlid connection, rapps......

Thanks, ya it was kinda of a waste of time, it wasn't even mine, it was my girls and she wants a trimac.

Ya it was, i was just hoping. I am probably getting a trimac from ira or cichlid connection since their shipping is cheaper.

This helps me out as well. I will be getting a Trimac soon from a reputable dealer here in Florida. He has had a couple in his store that I've seen in person. When I go back I'll have a little better knowledge of what to look for. I'm sorry you got the wrong fish. But i'm sure it was an honest mistake. I went through this with the Festae/Mayan mix up. Good luck finding a true Trimac.
