I prefer to mix my fish from anywhere in the world, I just so happen to generally like African fish I find.

Yep, I got 6 of the beauties in. Pictures will come.

Nice, sadly one of my little ones died yesterday... down to two... something in my african biotope grow out 45g took his ass out or he ate too much, water tested good today. No obvious signs of exterior trauma...

You do need that ornate... you want me to find out where I got it? Think it was Steve at exotic Fish shop in Boston?

I may not have been paying attention but what exactly died? Did you get some leaf fish? One of the bichirs?

Nah bud, as much as I want an ornate bagrid catfish I figure I’ll wait a bit longer until I have either more tanks or bigger tanks and besides my quarantine tanks are maxed out as I’ve got 4 tanks running with a 5th one by tomorrow.

had 3 little ones in the bigger tank, opted to grow them out in the 45g until they are not bite size...

2 pleco,3 tetra, 2 bamboo shrimp, an amazon puffer, two other leaf fish and the 4 butterfly fish... oh 4- 1” loaches...

The butterfly are the biggest at 3” all others under 2”

ya one of the little leaf fish...

Thanks man, I find myself drawn to perch like fish for some reason. If I had to really think about it I would say it’s the body shape that appeals to me, there’s just something beautiful about it.....

I saw that they are called "climbing perch." Do they climb?
One of my favorites is the Farlowella for the same reason the body shape is so cool.
