My monster com tank got 2 big pacu measuring about 18 inches in length each. Recently have been a busy period for me and I didn't really pay much attention to my com tank and when I finally did, I realised my pump is not running and my filter is dry. Checked on my fishes and found fungus and scale infection in all. No choice but to give away 5 of my monster green and grade 2 aro to a close friend.

Now I'm only keeping

2 x silver
1 x Green aro
1 x RTCxTSN
1 x Oscar
1 x Asian RTC
2 x RTC
2 x PACU
2 x Red parrots bigger than my palm size

Water is cloudy right now and fishes are in bad condition. Hopefully with better care and more attention given will fix them all up nicely in due time.:(

K - Sorry bout your tank. How will you treat the infection and fungus?

If you need somebody to hold any more of your fish just let me know!:)

They look like as if they have gone through war in there. With split finages and some got cloudy eye. But nothing alittle bit of water change and salt can cure. Fish not eating at all too and thus lose weight. But then again, nothing is impossible with alittle bit more feeding for afew weeks to push them back to shape.

But did you really gave those magnificent aro's away, or is it just for safekkeping untill things are sorted out?

I gave them away. This close friend started out arowana recently and guess it'll be a good idea for him to handle some bigger one.

I am so sorry to hear this... big bad monster pacu.. they were a little extra hungary and they love to chew.. mine chewed a piece of plastic off the filter hose {bracket} swallowed it and went right through him only to get jammed in his ?? you know what.. we had to take him out..and pull the plastic out and he healed and you would never know it.. but i am sorry that it caused all this grief for you and hope that all the fish will be okay.. :(

That's why I changed the filtration pump to an external pump where the wire is out of the tank. Damn these monster really eat alot but still I love their look on their face and size.:)

I love Pacu but they are a pain sometimes.
